Ninety percent of the people you see with ripped abs have super nutritional habits. When it comes to sporting a six pack it's 90% nutrition and only 10% work.
The current direction most people take is to overuse ab machines, buy fat burning pills and do their daily training on top of that. The problem is all that ab work and daily training will have a lesser effect on the layer of fat covering the abdominals than a well designed metabolic diet which helps the body burn more fat each day.
To show rock solid abs you need to get in the sub-10% body fat range. Nothing will accomplish this but precision nutrition. Few people can attain this goal. Their overall eating habits are not correct, they won't take the time to track what they eat or plan in advance for meals. It's all about discipline! For the most part, you only see bodybuilders successful at the ab game.
Does this mean you can't? Of course not. You simply must be aware that having ripped abs is all about a low percentage of body fat. You don't have to train your abs any different than any other muscle group. Doing extra ab work will not be effective. It's really a very simple concept but one that requires extreme discipline. Are you up to the challenge? Remember it's 90% super nutrition not extra ab work in the gym.
